MAS Orchestra Saturday Strings program for the 2022-2023 School Year!
Beginning Strings
If your child has never played a string instrument and they are in 3rd or 4th grade for the 2022-2023 school year
Elementary Orchestra
If your child can play and read a D Major scale on their instrument and will be in 4th or 5th grade for the 2022-2023 school year
Beginning Strings - Session 2
This is for students currently in third or fourth grade who do not already play a string instrument or cannot read a one-octave D Major scale on their instrument. Students will be able to select violin, viola, cello, or bass to learn as well as be assigned their accessories and method books. This is a FREE program. Please feel free to refer friends and family. This program will only be able to have 15 participants!

1/28/23 -Registration - Introductions, paperwork, and instrument assignments - 10:45 registration meeting time for ALL Saturday Strings participants.
2/4/23 - NO CLASS due to auditions
2/11/23 - Class 1
2/18/23- Class 2
2/25/23 - Class 3
3/4/23 - Class 4
3/11/23 - Class 5
3/18/23 - NO CLASS due to Spring Break
3/25/23 - NO CLASS due to Spring Break
4/1/23 - Class 6
4/8/23 - Class 7
4/15/23 - Class 8
4/22/23 - NO CLASS due to State MPA for MAS Orchestra
4/29/23 - Class 9
5/6/23 - Class 10 - End of Session demonstration class and celebration
5/12/23 - End of Session Performance at New World Center on Miami Beach
Elementary String Ensemble - Session 2
Elementary String Orchestra: Classes are from 10:45 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This is for students who can already have and can play their instruments and can read a D Major scale on their instrument.
String Orchestra will have string orchestra rehearsal, movement/coordination, pitch matching, music theory, and composition. This is a FREE program.
